Get ready for the ultimate taste experience!

On Tuesday, May 24, 2011 close to 400 guests gathered in Roche Dining Commons at Stonehill College for a taste sensation. Twenty five local food and beverage companies served up samples of their finest including dishes such as: lobster mac n’ cheese; paella; lobster rolls; shrimp cocktail; steak charro; chili; chicken marsala; corn chowder; curred chicken with mango salsa; arancini balls; chicken crostini with mango chutney; iced coffees and teas; beer and wine samples; bagels twists and Danish; and for chocolate lovers, kahlua and mint meltaways as well as chocolate covered fresh fruits. Guests also enjoyed the sounds of the Oliver Ames High School Jazz Combo who was on hand to play some of their finest music.

Guests voted for their favorite dish by awarding a participating restaurant with the 2011 Taste of Easton Best Restaurant award. Congratulations to this year’s winner, Avellino Pizzeria North End Style.

There were twenty seven exhibitors who participated in the Expo offering a great representation of local business. Guests got a sneak peak into some of the latest products and services available in the community. Free advice was available on topics such as real estate; health and exercise; hair & skin care; interior home maintenance; child related activities; local advertising and news sources; banking services and printing.

A portion of the proceeds from admission tickets are being donated to the Easton Food Pantry.

Also, this year gift baskets full of product and gift certificates donated by local area merchants were raffled off at the event to raise additional monies for the Easton Food Pantry.
